This saxophone has a great, iconic Buffet sound with good intonation up and down the register and nice overtones. It has a replacement case in good used condition. Evette & Schaeffer clarinets are not the same as. This tenor sax also comes with the original “BC” neck, which is in fantastic shape with no evidence of a pulldown. Buffet Clarinets Note: A preceeding F in the serial number indicates a clarinet made for the European market (A442, A444). Ornate leaves and flowers are engraved around the words, down the bell and onto the bow. The engraving on the bell is crisp and reads “Buffet Crampon Paris France S1”. ![]() ![]() The serial number is 36671 making this a 1980’s vintage tenor saxophone. There is no evidence of any major repairs. There are some small dents in the bow, a few little dings on the back of the body, and the thumb rest has been resoldered. It has just come back from being cleaned, adjusted and repadded at the shop, so it plays very well. This Buffet Crampon S1 Tenor Saxophone 1980’s Serial #36671 is in excellent condition with around 90-95% of the original lacquer and light player wear across the horn.
